Bharat GPT is a solution to language barrier in India. It guarantees its client to served in their preferred language, enhancing customer service through conversational AI bots with more personalised and seamless multilingual support experience.

Moreover, the recent Indian chatbot Hanooman, released by SML is also powered by IIT Bombay projects.
CoRover has been building virtual assistants for various partners and government agencies such as IRCTC, MaxLife, Chennai Police, and LIC, to name a few.
BharatGPT is currently developing India-centric datasets named Bharat Data Sagar.

“One of the things that we are focused on is developing models that reach a vast audience, even in remote villages,” said Professor Maunendra Sankar Desarkar.
The open source models will be able to converse in 11 languages including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Marathi

VizzhyGPT, characterised as a multimodal model, aims to automate diverse hospital processes, encompassing clinical and non-clinical realms.
Since we are collecting dataset in Indic languages and building models, it is only necessary to have them benchmark on Indic metrics and build a leaderboard.
Professor Kamakoti built SHAKTI, which is India’s first open microprocessor on top of the open RISC-V architecture, and is funded by the MeitY.
“The aim is to reach a stage where Indic models become viable options for enterprise adoption,” said Ankit Bose.
BharatGPT believes in the power of open source as India is one of the largest contributors.
“Nobody else will build these Indic language models, and it’s definitely needed at the moment,” said Amit Sheth.
Vizzhy is one of the first companies in India to start using generative AI in healthcare.
“We are building foundational models from scratch and that is what is keeping us busy,” said Ganesh Ramakrishnan about how BharatGPT will mark India on the global AI map.
