Mistral has introduced two primary methods for creating custom agents, catering to both non-technical users and developers.
Mistral has released its Agents API for building agents on Mistral’s AI models or fine-tuned model on Le Chat.
Along with this, Mistral has also announced the La Plateforme Agent Builder offering a user-friendly interface that allows users to easily create and configure agents.
For developers seeking to integrate agent creation into existing workflows, the Agent API provides a programmatic solution.
Users can start building their own agents by accessing the Agent Builder at La Plateforme’s console. The tool offers various customisation options, including the selection of models such as “Mistral Large 2” (mistral-large-2407), “Mistral Nemo” (open-mistral-nemo), “Codestral” (codestral-2405), or any fine-tuned models.
Additional customisation includes setting the sampling temperature, which determines the randomness of the agent’s output, and adding optional instructions and few-shot learning demonstrations to guide the agent’s behaviour.
Once the agent is deployed, users can interact with it via API using the agent_id or enable chat functionality on Le Chat.
Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg recently said there could possibly be more AI agents in the world than humans. While speaking to Rowan Cheung in a podcast, he said there are millions of small businesses in the world, and in the future all of them could have AI agents carrying out some functions for the company, like customer support and sales.
